House Odor Control
Psychologists have said several times that the nose influences more than we can imagine. When selling your house one the things you want to do is appeal to all the sense of prospective buyers, and odor control is an important factor.
Make sure that your house smells fresh, clean and appealing. CLEAN is the keyword. Something you might want to do is wash all your curtains and fabric fittings in a fresh scent laundry detergent, and dry them with fresh-scent fabric sheets.
An odor that works very well with homebuyers is chocolate chip cookies! Not every one might like to eat them, but studies have shown that this is the best odor to entice buyers when selling your house. This does not mean that you have to bake, you can just find some candles with this scent.
Other fragrances that work well are vanilla, butter cream and creme brulee. Scents register in our brain and frequently remind us of our past experiences. Creating pleasant aromas in your newly-listed house can help the buyer to experience an emotional connection with the home.
Some odor that buyer don't like are smoke and pets. If you are a smoker, this is a good time to quit or smoke outdoors. Smokers will need to clean alot more than non-smokers to get rid of the smoke odor. Febreze might be a good idea.
