Plumbing and Fixtures

Closet Clutter

Another step to getting your house ready to sell, is cleaning and and repairing or replacing the bathroom and kitchen plumbing and fixtures.

If there is any problems or you can't clean and polish the current bathroom and kitchen fixtures, then consider replacing them. If there are any leaks underneath the cabinets, you should repair or replace the cabinet as well.

If the buyer(s) see old or dirty fixtures they might think the plumbing is old or might have problems. If the buyer does not see the leaks, when they come around for the home inspection the leaks will be found and the buyer might consider canceling the purchase contract.

Normally old faucets start to leak under the sink, when this occurs they rot our the wood flooring of the cabinet and can cause mold to grow.

Buying new fixtures are not very expensive and with new hardware in the bathroom and kitchen, the home might sell faster. If you change the color or appearance of the fixtures, try to make sure they match with the rest of the hardware in the room.

Once we are done with Plumbing and Fixtures, let's give the rest of the house a check.
